Reconciliation Week display at Glendale TAFE Library
National Reconciliation Week 27 May – 3 June marks the significant milestones in Australia’s reconciliation journey:
- 50 years since the 1967 referendum
- 25 years since the historic 1992 Mabo decision
- 9 years since the 2008 national apology to Australia’s indigenous peoples
The theme for #NRW2017 is ‘Let’s Take the Next Steps’, encouraging all Australians to be a part of the next big steps in our nation’s reconciliation journey.
TAFE libraries have a wealth of information on Australian indigenous history, culture and contemporary insights.
