Did you know Friday February 14th 2014, Valentine’s Day, is also known as Library Lovers’ Day? In order to celebrate our love of Libraries Maitland TAFE Library have created a display, as shown in the picture below.

There are many reasons to love your TAFE Library:

  • Libraries are a sanctuary from the summer heat as well as the hustle and flurry of everyday existence.
  • Libraries have quiet spaces to study you can call your own
  • Libraries have comfy chairs to snuggle up in
  • Libraries have Internet accessible computers ready for your use.
  • Libraries are Wi-Fi Hotspots for your mobile devices.

Have you got a TAFEcard yet?

Your TAFEcard is also your Library card. It is very important to get your TAFEcard as soon as possible!

You will need your TAFEcard to:

borrow from any TAFE library in NSW

print and photocopy at Hunter TAFE libraries

You can get your TAFEcard from the Student Administration Office at your TAFE campus. Some Hunter TAFE Libraries have a TAFEcard camera set up and can also issue you with a TAFEcard. If you are unable to get a TAFEcard at the campus where you are studying, you have the option to go to another Hunter TAFE campus if this is convenient for you.

Orientation BBQ Wyong Campus

The Wyong Campus Orientation day will be in Week 2, on Wednesday February 12th with a free BBQ at 11.30. Come along to the information stalls and meet your friendly library staff!

Wyong Campus Library will also be holding drop in Library Skills Sessions on Monday and Thursday lunchtimes this term. For all students wanting to learn more about how to use the library beyond their class Orientation tour and if you have questions about getting started with your research.
