13 November: Virtual Reality drop in session at Maitland TAFE Library

Maitland Information Technology will be showcasing their HTC VIVE VR set up on Monday 13 November in the Library (Room HG03), from 10am to 1pm.

Just some of the experiences on offer include:

  • Journey inside a cell with The Body VR
  • Slice Fruit with your own Katana’s in Fruit Ninja VR
  • Defend your castle with Bow and Arrow
  • Train as a Space Pirate
  • Explore the Ocean Depths in TheBlu
  • Paint and draw in VR with Tilt Brush

Biggest Recess at TAFE NSW Wyong Library

TAFE NSW Wyong Library held a morning tea on the 27th October to promote healthy eating habits as part of the Biggest Recess 2017 campaign. This was a great opportunity to focus attention on childhood health through awareness and education in a positive and fun environment and coincided with Children’s Week 2017.

The event held in the Library was attended by staff and students from courses including Electrotechnolgy, Plumbing, ESOL and Library & Information Services. People enjoyed the free healthy foods and browsed the library’s book collection on healthy eating. Thanks to all who helped to make the event a success!
