Hunter TAFE Historical Collection : Riddell Building 1960’s

Riddell Building, Newcastle Technical College, 1960’s

If you are familiar with Newcastle TAFE Campus you would easily recognise the building in this 1960’s photo as P Block. It was then known as the Riddell Building, named after Percy Riddell who was Newcastle’s Technical College Principal from 1929-1939. Little has changed with the building’s exterior but the gardens in front of the building certainly have grown, and the carpark area is now a paved walkway.
