Students in a Butchery class at Newcastle Campus in the 1970’s. Classes were held in L Block which was demolished in 2013. The official opening of the Hamilton College of TAFE in 1986 saw Butchery classes being the first to commence in the new Block A. From 2007 – 2014 Hamilton Campus ran a retail outlet that allowed apprentice butchers to prepare and sell meat to the public, now students are assessed in the workplace.
