Harmony Day Celebrations, Week of 18 March 2013.

Harmony Day 2013

Harmony Day will be celebrated across the Hunter Institute on the week of March 18th this year.

Harmony Day, on March 21st,  is a national day in which we can celebrate the diverse cultures which make up the Australian population. The theme for 2013 is “Many Stories, One Australia.”

Hunter TAFE is a reflection of Australia in general, with a great many cultures and nationalities represented in the student body. To celebrate Harmony Day a number of activities will be held, and teachers are invited to involve their classes where possible.

At Newcastle Campus on Wednesday 20th, activities will include public presentations by students in the library; international food tasting; music from several cultures and a lunchtime celebration concert with activities.

Look out for more Harmony Day events, competitions and library displays on your campus.
